Anime music video for AWA Pro Contest using anime footage, motion graphics and kinetic typography



This is one of my favourite projects. I love working with colour and shapes and animated text and this video is full of them. The song is also incredibly catchy and I would find myself humming the song every so often making the process less tedious.

Overall it was quite a challenging and time consuming project. Creating the effects didn't take long but the pre-production work with the scene cleanup (credits removal) and rotoscoping took a very long time and was the most tedious part of the project. It also forced me to edit outside my comfort zone and work with vectors in Illustrator. The ferris wheel was drawn entirely in Illustrator for example so it could be scaled infinitely in After Effects.

I'd say it's probably my most favourite music video out of all the ones I've made so far so I hope you all enjoy it.
