The Gaelic King
3D Modelling, Rotoscoping / Prep and VFX compositing for the Scottish film "The Gaelic King" from Fellowship Film, directed by Philip Todd.
Fellowship Film had approached the University in which I was studying 3D design for students who were interested in providing visual effects for an upcoming fantasy film based on Scottish's Dark Ages.
As one of the VFX artists, I was mostly in charge of the Nathara's Sorcery category of visual effects. These are effects mostly related to magic, particles and human corruption created by the sorceress Nathara, the main antagonist of the movie.
I have always been interested in visual effects and have created many particle and magic type effects for my own music videos but this was my first time working with a film production team and coordinating with the director on their vision of the scene.
As a thank you for being part of the project, I was also gifted with three tickets for myself and friends to view the film at its premiere in at Cineworld in Glasgow. It was a great experience to see my work on the big screen and I am grateful for the opportunity to join such an incredible team on the project.
